This lovely house is over 140 years old and is set in the traditional village of Males on the island of Crete.  The property was once a jail, the mayor's house, a church and a mosque.  It is built over two floors and the renovations started in 2002  were completed in 2005. 

The ground floor comprises of a spacious lounge area with double doors leading out to the courtyard.  There is a dining room with large dining table and 6 chairs, a well equipped galley type kitchen and a guest toilet.  A spiral staircase leads to the upper floor and the courtyard also has external stairs to upper floor.

Upstairs there are 3 double bedrooms and they are all fully furnished and have full air conditioning.  The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom and the family bathroom is well equipped with a full size bath, a shower and toilet.  From the third bedroom there is access to the garden and terrace.

Males is an historic village located in Lasithi and is about 12 Km from the sea. The village has many interesting churches from the Byzantine and Venetian period and is surrounded by lovely forests.
